The Inaugural BRNZ Investigator Meeting at AWCBR 2015

29 August 2015

On Saturday 29th of August, 2015 BRNZ hosted their inaugural Investigator Meeting at the Australasian Winter Conference on Brain Research (AWCBR) at the Copthorne Hotel in Queenstown.

This meeting allowed researchers, professional staff and postgraduate students to gain insights into the various research projects underway in BRNZ; as well as the organisational and executive structure of the newly formed Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE).

Following a warm welcome from Co-Directors Cliff and Richard, Platform Leaders and PIs updated conference delegates on their various projects and developments within their research groups.

After 4 pm there was a selection of presentations from PhD students and post-doctoral researchers.

The Investigator Meeting was filled with a palpable sense of anticipation and excitement for the ensuing two years ahead. All PIs, researchers, staff and students are currently preparing themselves for a journey of scientific discovery and research synergy across multiple Universities and Research Centres.

If only we could have brought the glorious backdrop of Queenstown and Arrowtown back to the office with us! Until next year then, Queenstown.
