BRNZ Releases Poster for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

12-Sep-2018

The theme of 2018’s Wiki o Te Reo Māori is “Kia kaha te Reo Māori”, let’s make the Māori language strong!

One of Brain Research New Zealand’s key strategic goals is to partner with Māori in a meaningful way. To do this – and to play our little part in making the Māori Language strong, we have created a poster, ‘ Te Reo Māori i Te Ao Rangahau Roro – The Māori Language in the World of Brain Research’. It aims to encourage and promote the use of Te Reo Māori in our daily mahi. The poster features terms related to parts of the brain and brain conditions, more general health terms, and useful words and phrases to use in lab and office settings.

You can download the poster here. We suggest to print it as A3 or bigger! Feel free to share it with anyone else who might be interested.

This poster is a starting point and a work in progress. There are still a lot of people to consult and words to be created! We aim to revise and expand this poster over the coming years, and everybody’s input is welcome. So if you do have suggestions, please get in touch!
